El Espino, El Salvador - Sister City of Grand JunctionaRT - Art on the Riverfront Trail

aRT is designed to transform bleak underpasses along the Riverfront Trail into vibrant, colorful artistic expressions that enhance the trail users' experience. aRT is a fluid process with murals changing annually, bringing new and fresh designs to the Riverfront Trail. Through aRT, we will expand our rich artistic community and provide spaces to nurture budding artists by creating a more vibrant environment.

aRT is spearheaded by the Grand Junction Commission on Arts and Culture and the Riverfront Commission with a valley-wide coalition of partners including: the Grand Junction Police Department, Colorado Department of Transportation, Mesa County Sheriff's Office, Mesa County Health Department, Super Rad Art Jam, Urban Trails Committee, Mesa County, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, and the City of Grand Junction Public Works, Planning, and Parks Departments.

2017 aRT applications are due September 25, 2017 by 5 pm.

The art on the Riverfront Trail Fruita (aRT - Fruita) program is designed to transform bleak underpasses along the Little Salt Wash Riverfront Trail spur into vibrant, colorful artistic expressions that enhance the trail users' experience. This program is a fluid process with murals changing annually, bringing new and fresh designs to the Little Salt Wash Riverfront Trail spur. We will expand our rich artistic community and provide spaces to nurture budding artists by creating a more vibrant environment.

Car Park aRT - Art on the Downtown Parking Garage

Car Park aRT will add vibrancy to the main access point from the parking garage to Main Street, which enhances the downtown users experience of our beloved public art collection.

Car Park aRT will be painted on October 7, 2017 as part of the Downtown Arts Festival.

2018 painting of TSB's on main street will occur on October 5th and 6th as part of the Downtown Arts Festival.
